As a father of four children and kindergarten teacher, I have found books to be a instrumental in broaching difficult topics with my kids and students. Issues like social equity, friendship, and inclusion can be difficult conversations to broach, but Markertown by Amanda Fox opens the door. Markertown teaches us that what makes us sparkle comes from the inside and true friendship is not bound by looks or physical appearance. Not only does this book help engage children in meaningful discussions, but with Augmented Reality, Steam challenges, and hands-on support material children are able to engage with the book on many different levels. This book is a must-have for both parents and educators alike.

Delightful, fun, and just what is needed for kids and adults to read! Markertown will change your outlook on more than just old markers, and help you to see past what we may typically see, and open your mind to what is possible and the 'upcycling' of so many areas in our lives. A must-read  book from Amanda Fox!
